Pet Dogs on the SRB Lawn Dec. 1 - Doctor's Orders!

December 2011 Dog Therapy Day with GunnerGunner, a 7-year-old Labrador retriever, is a hit with the ladies on Dog Therapy Day.

Once per quarter, the UCSB Health and Wellness folks organize a Dog Therapy Day for our campus community, and Thursday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. out on the Student Resource Building lawn marks our good time!  If you haven't been to one of these fantastic events, we highly recommend it.  Who doesn't want to pet dogs on a bright, sunny (and perhaps windy) day?!

You'll see the team of wagging tails on the grassy area right outside of the parking structure adjacent to Pardall Tunnel.  Stop by to release a little end-of-quarter stress and learn about the health benefits of pets.

The Women's Center Welcomes UCSB Grad Students

Fellow graduate students Adrianna Santos and Vivie Nguyen are our neighbors over here in the Student Resource Building and they are excited to share a warm welcome with everyone here at UCSB!

We at the Women's Center would like to invite Graduate Students to come visit our space on the first floor of the Student Resource Building. We have a lounge with comfortable couches and tables for studying, computers with Internet access and a library with books, magazines and films available for checkout. We also have a relaxation station, which features a state-of-the-art massage chair, headphones, face masks, snuggies and a head massager. Check the Graduate Post regularly for announcements for Women's Center programming, special events and blogs.

Coming in November: Non-Academic Career Panel for Graduate Students who want to pursue alternative job opportunities.
