Applications are now open for the Graduate Student Internship Fellowship, which offers up to five $2,000-$2,500 scholarships annually to help graduate students explore career opportunities and gain valuable work experience while in school. Funds are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need as well as how their Summer or Fall 2019 work experience will be beneficial for their career trajectory. Application deadline is March 17th.

Graduate students from âall disciplines are eligible to apply, and funds will be awarded to students who demonstrateâ financial need âas well as how their Summer or Fall 2019 work experience will be âbeneficial for their career trajectory.

You do not need to have a confirmed internship before applying, althoughâ you must have an idea of what âyou want to do for âyour internship, whereâ you want to apply, and how the proposed experience will add to âyour career âtrajectory. You are encouraged to create opportunities for yourself along with applying to internships. Check out Handshake to get started and meet with a career counselor if you need help finding an internship.
As part of the application, you will be asked to submit two short statements: one âthat demonstrates how this internship experience will provide you with skills that will help in your larger career âgoals, and another âthat shows your need for financial assistance and how this fellowship would facilitate your ability to complete the summer or fall internship experience.
