The UC Santa Barbara Research Mentorship Program (RMP) is seeking graduate students, postdocs, researchers, and faculty in science and engineering for a paid mentorship opportunity this summer. Mentors are paid a stipend of $1000 per student. The deadline to submit project proposals is June 10, however, they may fill project slots prior to this date.
The UC Santa Barbara Research Mentorship Program (RMP) is seeking graduate students, postdocs, researchers, and faculty for a paid mentorship opportunity this summer.
RMP is a highly competitive, six-week summer program that engages qualified and talented high school students from all over the world in interdisciplinary and hands-on research. âTheir students are bright, motivated, and possess the desirable technical and analytical skills, as well as the requisite lab safety training, to successfully undertake university-level research.
Join âtheir program as a mentor and help create an academically inspiring summer for their next generation of researchers.
Program dates: [6 weeks] June 22 - July 31 (Summer Session A)
Mentor Stipend:
• $1,000 per student mentored
• May submit up to 2 projects (up to 2 students per project for a
compensation of up to $4,000)
• Must have a hands-on component (i.e., experimental, field, numerical,
qualitative, etc.)
Deadline to Apply: June 10, 2020, however, please note that âthey may fill project slots prior to this date.
âThey strongly recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
- Due to a high volume of submissions, âthey are no longer considering projects in Humanities and Social Sciences.
- âThey have very limited number of spots avaibale for Science and Engineering projects. Proposals will be reviewed upon submission and accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Note: Graduate students may be employed up to 100% over the summer. Mentor applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
