​ProfessorThe Graduate Student Resource Center will be hosting a workshop on writing a research statement for an academic position. This workshop is open to all UCSB graduate students and postdocs, and ​will give general advice for both STEM and SHEF (Social Science, Humanities, Education, Fine Arts) students.

We will cover methods of organizing experience, types of content to include, and the tone you should set in your statement.

If you have a draft or completed research statement, bring at least two print copies (or a digital copy) for individual and peer feedback.

Time: ​​Wednesday, Oct. 19, noon-1:30 p.m.
