The system-wide event will bring students from all 10 campuses to Silicon Valley to present their climate science and carbon reduction research in three-minute pitches and posters at a live competition before a panel of esteemed judges and guests for a chance to win cash prizes.

Carbon Slam 2016

Graduate student researchers: share your climate research and innovations at the UC Carbon Slam!

Any student, undergraduate or graduate, in the UC system is invited to submit an application to represent their campus in either the Climate Science or Climate Solutions competitions. Learn more about the categories of competition and entry details, including video submission guidelines.

Attendance is by invitation only (though all students are encouraged to apply!)

​Deadline: Apply by Sunday, April 10.

Prizes
Each category will have four prizes for Carbon Slam pitches including:
$4,000 First Place
$2,000 Second Place
$1,000 Third Place
$1,000 People's Choice

Prizes for poster submissions in each category include:
$1,000 First Place
$500 Second Place
$250 Third Place
