The IEE Apprentice Researchers program is seeking graduate students in science and engineering research laboratories at UCSB to work with a highly motivated local high school student for 6-weeks this summer. The Office of Instructional Development and CITRAL are hiring graduate students to assist instructors who are working to convert their classes to remote frameworks for spring 2020. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is currently accepting applications for the CPRIT TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellowship in translational cancer research. This three-year fellowship aims to further develop talented PhD or MD/PhDs into successful clinical/translational research scientists. Applications are reviewed quarterly with the next cycle due dates of March 31 and June 30, 2020.

National Geographic has a 10-week summer paid internship program as well as several grant opportunities. Students interested in conservation, education, research, storytelling, and technology are encouraged to apply. Last date to apply for internships is March 13, and for grant programs is April 22.

The Engaging Teaching Symposium recently announced a call for symposium presenters. The symposium will take place May 28–29. You're invited to submit interactive contributions that encourage fruitful sharing of experiences, resources, and advice. Read on for more info and to submit by March 9!
