The Qualifying Round for the 2022 Grad Slam Competition has begun, and all 26 submissions are available to view in our Qualifying Round Showcase. The videos will be publicly available until February 15th, so don't miss your chance to watch all these excellent submissions!

Through a partnership between UCSB and the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department COVID-19 Booster shots will be offered without charge on 5 occasions in Isla Vista this month. All 3 COVID-19 vaccines will be offered at the Isla Vista Embarcadero Hall parking lot on January 11, 18, 21, 25 and 28 from 10 am - 4 pm, with free parking in Lot 40 behind the I.V. Theater. The 2022 Grad Slam competition is now open! This year, Grad Slam is combining the most successful elements from previous competitions, featuring virtual video submissions in the Qualifying Round and a live in-person Final Round. We're giving away over $16,000 in cash prizes, and all currently enrolled graduate students are eligible to compete. The deadline for Qualifying Round video submissions is Tuesday, February 1, so be sure to read on for more info on the competition rules and timeline!
