The Engaging Teaching Symposium provides a space to reflect on teaching over the past year: what you tried, what “worked” or “didn’t work,” and how it might inform your teaching in the upcoming quarters. The symposium will take place on Wednesdays and Fridays from October 6-11, 2021. Submissions are now being accepted for roundtables, 30-minute workshops, and poster sessions. Check out a new mentorship program called The Rancho Academy, designed for students interested in a faculty or administrator career at the community college level. The program is a six-week to ten-week commitment at no cost and students will be matched with a faculty or administrator mentor. The eFellows program places early career PhDs in engineering fields in university research postdoctoral fellowships. In addition to hands-on academic research with a faculty advisor, each fellowship cohort will participate in professional development and mentoring activities designed to prepare them for future research careers.
