Meet the Graduate Division's new Funding Peer, Noreen Balos! Noreen has strong ties to California and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at UCSB with a research focus in STEM education. We chatted with Noreen about her research, her passion for students, and the importance of family.

The Graduate Division would like to remind graduate students who intend to participate in the 2016 ceremony that the deadline to register is Friday, May 6.

For 2016-17, monthly graduate student rental rates will be set at 20% below the current year’s rates. The rent for a room in a two bedroom apartment will be $874 per month and the rent for a room in a four bedroom apartment will be $764.

Professors Judith Green (Education) and Tevfik Bultan (Computer Science) received Outstanding Graduate Mentor Awards from the Academic Senate. They were among 11 faculty members and graduate student teaching assistants to receive honors.
