Grad school marks the next chapter in Teodora Losic's UCSB adventure. Having just earned her B.S. in the spring from UCSB, she will continue her Master's research in the Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology Department.

For eight weeks this summer, 22 undergraduate students traveled to UC Santa Barbara to participate in the Academic Research Consortium (ARC) and UC Leadership Excellence through Advanced Degrees (LEADS) Scholar program.

Congratulations to Lynnette Arnold from Linguistics and Kevin Johnson from Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology who have been announced as the 2017 recipients of the Winifred and Louis Lancaster Annual Dissertation Award.

On April 21, the Graduate Division hosted undergraduate scholars from across California for an eventful day designed to allow scholars to learn more about research, admissions, and grad resources, as well as to encourage them to pursue a graduate degree here at UCSB.

Josh Kuntzman, Ph.D. Education, will deliver a message focused on inspiration, reassurance, and empowerment at the 2017 Graduate Division Commencement ceremony on June 18.

The Graduate Division is pleased to announce that ​Lois Capps, the former U.S. Representative for California's 24th congressional district, will be the keynote speaker for the Graduate Division's 2017 Commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 18, at 4 p.m. on the Faculty Club Green.

This year, Alexandra Bayles – a graduate student in Chemical Engineering – was selected by UCSB and an international committee to attend the June 25-30 Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings ​to network with Nobel Laureates and ​the next generation of difference makers.
