This spring quarter, the Graduate Student Resource Center and Career Services welcomes a new Graduate Career Peer Advisor, ​Ida Taghavi. Ida is a native Californian who is currently a ​PhD student in ​Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology at UCSB. We chatted with her about her research interests, her ​passion for mentorship, and her love of yoga!

Kristin Antelman kicks off the spring quarter as our new University Librarian on April 1. Before accepting her new role at UCSB, Kristin served as university librarian at the California Institute of Technology and worked as an associate director of libraries at NC State University. We caught up with Kristin to learn more about her career and what drew her to her new position at UCSB.

Dr. Stephanie Couch, who received her Ph.D. from the UCSB Gevirtz Graduate School of Education in 2012, will take the stage as the 2018 UCSB Graduate Division Commencement Keynote speaker on Sunday, June 17. Dr. Couch has spent nearly two decades of her career working to build better education access through technological opportunities for students from underrepresented communities throughout California.
