Grad Guide, a new student organization for graduate students, is looking for members. Grad Guide is a mentorship program on UCSB campus directed towards undergraduate students in STEM who are interested in applying to graduate school. Read on for more info and the sign-up link.

This week, the UCSB Housing office sent out a message to graduate students about housing availability and processes for the 2023-24 academic year. Read on for the full statement, which includes information about a Virtual Housing Program for Grad Students that will run on November 16 from 6-7pm.

EAP and OISS are hosting an international language exchange event, and you are welcome to join on Tuesday, November 8 at 12-1pm. Come practice your Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin language skills in a casual environment while meeting new people and enjoying international snacks. All levels welcome!

Join the Multicultural Center on Nov 9 for a screening of Bakosó: Afrobeats of Cuba. Bakosó is a groundbreaking documentary that weaves the story of Cuban DJ and Producer Isnay Rodriguez, also known as DJ Jigüe, and the creation of an entirely new genre. There will also be a post-screening Q&A with Dj Jigüe, Producer/Director Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi, and Co-Producer Kahlil Jacobs-Fantauzzi.

Every Wednesday from 9am-12pm, get fresh bagels, fruit, coffee, hot cocoa and tea at the GSA Lounge (2nd floor of MCC) during the GSA Bagel Hour. The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) will also have an International Student Advisor there from 9-10am to provide general advising.

Join two professional game designers for a 2-day workshop on October 19 & 20, 2022, in support of your overall wellness. Participants will receive a stipend! Sign up by October 18 at 5pm!

GSA Bagel Hours are back! Every Wednesday from 9a-12p in the GSA Lounge, you can join the GSA for fresh offerings from the Bagel Café, fruit, coffee, hot cocoa, and tea.

UCSB Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will be offering a Graduate Student Interpersonal Process Group. The group is for grads who want to build intimacy in their interpersonal relationships, explore ways to resolve problems and conflicts, and become more aware of their actions and communication styles. These groups will begin in mid-to-late October.

UCSB's Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) invites Black-identified graduate students to join Creating Community, a support space to discuss the unique challenges for graduate students of African heritage. The group meets every other Monday from 3-4p on Zoom.
