(A Prequel) is opening at the Isla Vista Community Center on June 3rd and 4th at 4p. Admission is free.

The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is hosting two events for graduate students the week of May 30, 2022. There will be a study hour for LGBTQ+ grads at the library on May 31 from 5-7p and a celebration lunch for LGBTQ+ graduate students of color at the Student Resource Building Multi-Purpose Room on June 3 from 11:30a -1:00p. The UC Center Sacramento is excited to announce its seventh annual Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy. The award will recognize excellence in graduate student research with a direct impact on public policy. The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a $750 prize and will deliver a policy lecture at UCCS. The deadline to apply is June 16th.

The 2022 MFA Thesis Art Show, It Appears to Be a Circle, is now open at UCSB's Art, Design, & Architecture Museum! This exhibition, which features the work of Marisa de la Peña, Tom Dunn, and Chad Ress, will be available until May 29th. Also, don't miss the Kinder Art Exhibit this coming Saturday, May 21 from 12-4p. This event will be held in the Jewel Box Gallery of the AD&A Museum.

Next Thursday and Friday, May 19 and 20, the Bren Environmental Justice Club will be hosting its 4th Annual Environmental Justice Symposium. This hybrid event will explore topics ranging from the roots of environmental harm to advice for environmental justice careers. This session is open to anyone interested in experiencing how coworking can help their productivity. In this 2-hour Zoom coworking session you will be guided to focus & engage effectively with your own academic work.

The UCSB IHC Research Focus Group “What Is a Shakespeare?: Shakespeare and Global Media” is hosting a virtual conference: "Global Snapshot: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Media, Performativity, and Global Communities." The conference features Keynote Speakers Dr. Peter Eckersall and Dr. Ambereen Dadabhoy, and will run on May 14.

The workshop will discuss ways in which graduate student may experience burnout and strategies you can incorporate to integrate a work life harmony.
