UCSB's Research Mentorship Program is seeking graduate students, postdocs, and researchers for a paid mentorship opportunity this summer in a wide range of disciplines. Join as a mentor and help create an academically inspiring summer for the next generation of researchers. Graduate students may be employed up to 100% over the summer. Program duration is June 24 to August 2, 2019.

UCSB Career Services is currently accepting applications for its Graduate Career Peer position, to begin employment in Summer 2019. This position will give the successful applicant valuable experience working in ​higher-ed administration and the opportunity to assist with program development. On February 22, the Graduate Division hosted a salary negotiation workshop led by Lisa Gates, co-founder of She Negotiates. Along with role-playing exercises and audience Q&A, Lisa discussed how to relate your aptitude and experience to others in negotiating salaries and promotions, including negotiation tactics and frameworks. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is currently accepting applications for the CPRIT TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Translational Cancer Research. This three-year fellowship aims to further develop talented PhD or MD/PhDs into successful clinical/translational research scientists.
