Indigenous activist Winona LaDuke to speak at Pollock Theater May 15

Author and activist Winona LaDuke will speak at Pollock Theater Monday, May 15, at 7 p.m. There will also be a reception for students to meet LaDuke at 5:30 p.m. ​at the American Indian Cultural Resource Center ​the SRB.

Syrian musician Omar Souleyman to perform free show on May 15

Omar Souleyman, former Syrian wedding-singer and now indie EDM star, will perform a free show with an opening by UCSB's Middle East Ensemble. The concert will also serve as a forum to raise awareness of the evolving humanitarian crisis in Syria and offer a space for attendees to participate in relief efforts.
