The MultiCultural Center and UCSB Reads are partnering for an upcoming discussion led by UCSB graduate student Fátima Suárez on "Into the Beautiful North​," which is the 2017 UCSB Reads selection that tells the story of a young woman who leaves her home in rural Mexico for the U.S.

The UCSB Multicultural Center will screen "Latino: The Changing Face of America" by writer and director Roxanne Frias, who wanted to create a film that acknowledges the important role Latinos have played in U.S. history while also not being embraced by America like previous immigrants.
