Applications for the Chicano Studies Institute's Dissertation Research Grant are being accepted through April 13.
The Chicano Studies Institute invites applications for funding for graduate students engaged in research addressing topics related to the Latino population in the U.S. Awards are up to $2,500 beginning from the date the funds are dispersed. Funding can be used for supplies and research costs (e.g. payments to research subjects, travel), but cannot be used for tuition, insurance, or equipment such as computers and cameras. All awardees are expected to present their research in a colloquium towards the end of the award period.
Award: Up to $2,500 for costs related to dissertation research
Application Deadline: Apr. 13 at 4 p.m.
Eligibility: Applicants must be advanced to candidacy, and dissertation proposals must be formally approved by their committee by the beginning of the award period.
