Overview
If you are looking for a grant to finance a summer research project in the humanities, The National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Stipend is a great resource. The program provides small awards to support projects at any stage of development, especially early-stage research and late-stage writing. Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two consecutive months. NEH funds may support recipients' compensation, travel, and other costs related to the proposed scholarly research. Expected output from the research project may take the form of a book, article, digital material & publications, archaeological report, translation, edition, or other scholarly resource.

Eligibility
Only graduate students who have satisfied all the requirements for a degree and are awaiting its conferral may apply. Such applicants need a letter from the dean of the conferring school, attesting to the applicant's status as of September 25, 2019, which must be included as an appendix to the application.

Award
Maximum grant amount is $6,000.
