Happy 2020 from your friendly campus Funding Peer Adviser, Kaitlyn! It's a new year, a new quarter, and a new decade--the perfect time to revisit and revamp the resources available to you on the GradPost, provided by the staff at the Graduate Student Resource Center.

The GradPost Funding pages have been redesigned with a fresh look and more resources that are easier to find than ever!

Getting Started
Knowing where to start your funding search and staying up to date can be daunting. On this page you can familiarize yourself with the funding process through workshop materials created by the Funding Peer, get a sense of what opportunities are out there by searching funding databases, and learn more about how to write a winning proposal.

Money Articles
This link takes you to the GradPost Money newsfeed, filled with articles on the latest funding opportunities for graduate students in stages of their career and across various disciplines. Each article is designed to allow you to scan the most important information to see if the opportunity fits your funding needs. You can also use the search bar to quickly find opportunities related to your interests.

Funding Forecast
The Funding Forecast is a quarterly sampling of opportunities with deadlines scheduled soon or during the next three to four months. The forecast includes postdoctoral, doctoral, graduate, research, and other short-term awards or travel grants.

Fellowship Library
Here you can find a list of the fellowships currently in our library of successful funding proposals from graduate students at UCSB. The library is located in the GSRC office in the Student Resources Building (SRB 1215) and available during weekly business hours. Our library is constantly growing as more and more students win fellowships and donate their proposals to our collection. If you would like to donate your successful proposal, rating sheets, or any fellowship-relevant materials, please email the Funding Peer Advisor. Your name can remain anonymous on all materials and we do not allow students to take copies of any proposals.

More Resources
On this page, you can find additional resources on financial support, application writing support, links to other campus funding resources, advice on personal finance, and information on emergency funding resources.

If you have any questions about the funding resources on the GradPost or are having trouble finding the sort of funding information you are looking for, please reach out to your Funding Peer Advisor, Kaitlyn Ugoretz, via email or make an appointment for a one-on-one consultation.

Happy New Year and best of luck on making all your funding dreams a reality!
