With the combined efforts of the UC Office of the President, the 10 UC Campus Counseling Centers, and UC Health, Promoting Student Mental Health: A Guide for UC Faculty and Staff was created to provide education and steps on how to properly support students' mental well-being.

The guide provides faculty, staff, and teaching assistants information on to recognize students in distress, how to respond to students in distress, cultural considerations in mental health, as well as how to support students from vulnerable populations such as graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Additionally, the guide highlights the role that faculty and staff can play in promoting positive learning environments.
