UCSB's Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) is excited to launch the first International Student Advisory Board (ISAB) in Winter 2018.

The inaugural ISAB will be a select group consisting of both international and U.S. undergraduate and graduate students. Students will receive 2 independent study units per quarter. This is a leadership position. OISS requests students plan to commit to this position for up to two years as the program develops. Applications will be accepted through December 4, 2017. Approximately 8 students will be selected and notified by December 8, 2017.

It is the expectation that ISAB members will:
(1) Attend and participate in weekly meetings (time TBD based on member availability)
(2) Participate in international student life at UCSB, especially clubs
(3) Advocate for international students and international education
(4) Actively work to promote intercultural competency on campus
(5) Help OISS identify opportunities for improving campus climate for international students
