The UCSB Office of the Registrar will be conducting an online training on FERPA (the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, the federal law regarding the privacy of student records) this winter quarter to provide more in-depth, comprehensive training for faculty and graduate students.

While UCSB always provides a short FERPA training during their annual Fall Kick-Off meeting each September, they will also provide additional trainings throughout this academic year, which will allow more time to cover all relevant aspects of FERPA as well as time to answer any specific questions faculty and students may have.

The training will take place:

Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 9-10am (online via Zoom)
(For telephone audio, dial US: +1 669 900 6833 or +1 408 638 0968; Meeting ID: 484 631 710)
This session will also be recorded and made available via Box.com for later viewing.

This training is open to all interested staff (including student staff), faculty, and TAs.
