Professor Shelly Lundberg from the UCSB Department of Economics is seeking a graduate student Administrative Assistant to assistant with some temporary, part-time work now through August 30, 2018, or possibly longer.

The Administrative Assistant would provide administrative support for ​Dr. Lundberg's work as chair of national committee on the status of women in economics and collaborate with an experienced part-time administrator, who will be working remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring committee's central email account, liaison with chair and administrator re queries, update subscribers on internal contact database, send email announcements.
  • Work with chair and Web Coordinator to update content on website.
  • Assist with scheduling, agenda, materials preparation for meetings.
  • Maintain internal budget spreadsheets and process reimbursements.
  • General assistance with record-keeping, communications.

Requirements:

  • Experience with standard computer software (eg. Excel) and willingness to learn new platforms essential.
  • Experience with web design, database management, budget tracking, editing, and event planning a plus.

Compensation is $18-20 per hour. There is some flexibility in hours.
