UCSB's Office of Undergraduate Education is seeking a paid graduate student assistant to work on the UCSB Data-Enhanced Teaching and Learning (DETAiL) Project. DETAiL seeks to provide faculty with actionable data and resources to help them implement asset-based teaching. The goal of the platform is to facilitate teaching practices to improve equity in courses, especially large courses. The appointment runs from June 21-September 18, 2021.

UCSB's Office of Undergraduate Education is seeking a graduate student assistant to work on the UCSB Data-Enhanced Teaching and Learning (DETAiL) Project. DETAiL seeks to provide faculty with actionable data and resources to help them implement asset-based teaching. The goal of the platform is to facilitate teaching practices to improve equity in courses, especially large courses.

The student assistant will work with team members of Center for Innovative Teaching, Research, and Learning (CITRAL) to develop content for the DETAiL platform including data summaries and training modules.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to write about data and the student experience for multiple audiences (faculty, TAs, and others), strong organizational skills, and the ability to work on a deadline. The ideal candidate also will have some familiarity with issues associated with equity and learning. The graduate student assistant will work to complete weekly tasks connected with DETAiL. Tasks may include scheduling meetings, drafting of content for the DETAiL website, and content testing the DETAiL dashboard.

Title: Graduate Student Assistant
Salary: $25/hr
Time Commitment: 15hrs/week
Appointment: June 21, 2021- September 18, 2021
