UCSB's Health Communications is now hiring a Content Creator & Media Generalist for the 2023-2024 academic year. This position will work collaboratively with the Health Communication and Media Campaigns Manager, the Web Design Intern, campus staff, and student orgs to support the Equity in Mental Health mission to improve health equity and student well-being at UCSB. The Content Creator and Media Generalist will assist in developing graphic designs, as well as digital and print marketing pieces for multimedia use. They will also perform content writing and produce front-facing camera content for Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. In addition, they will provide video editing, as well as voice work for hosting podcasts. This position requires both front-facing and behind-the-scenes media work.
BASIC JOB DUTIES
The role will assist the Health Communication and Media Campaigns Manager to identify short- and long-term social marketing targets and develop health communication content strategies, assist in focus groups, create and deliver content, and assist in analyzing campaign success. This includes print, digital, social media, podcasts, radio, website, email, digital newsletters, video content creation, and other communication formats. PAY RATES
$15.25/hr
GENERAL INFORMATION
- One FULL Academic Year & Summer (Fall, Winter, Spring Quarter + All Summer Sessions) commitment required
- Work approximately 12-15 hours per week
- Appointments are limited to 4 quarters, including summers; must be registered students.
- The position may require some late night, evening, and weekends although not often.
