The Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (RCSGD) serves as UCSB's LGBTQIA+ center, and is located on the 3rd floor of the Student Resource Building. They provide essential support to LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty including a physical lounge, one on one support, community building and academic events, a volunteer program, educational training and UCSB LGBTQ Resource list.

In this conversation we will discuss feminist pedagogy and the current barriers in academia for disability justice. There will be a Luncheon right after to discuss opportunities that we are offering throughout the year. A Zoom option is available!

About the Author
Mary Michael (she/they) is a PhD Candidate in Film and Media Studies. She is also the Diversity and Outreach Graduate Peer Advisor, and the current writing specialist with the McNair Scholars Program. Mary studies smart city and surveillance technologies in the Middle East and how they impact migrants. Mary is enthusiastic about connecting graduate students to new experiences and communities both on and off-campus.
