Graduate Student in Environmental Science & Management

The energy and industry sectors are in urgent need of deep decarbonization. This talk evaluates various technological opportunities for greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) mitigation through two case studies: (1) the magnitude of the global carbon footprint of plastics and strategies to reduce it; (2) reducing renewable curtailment and GHG emissions by migrating workloads between data centers. With this talk, you might also gain a better idea of how to reduce your personal carbon footprint through mindful behavior changes such as how to use plastics and data in a more sustainable way.
