We will be expanding the Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st into a full week of events beginning with a resource fair for trans students to become more acquainted with the available resources they have on campus. The ​Resource Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is extremely excited to announce the first ever Trans Week of Visibility at UCSB! It is now more vital than ever that we stand in solidarity with our trans community. We will be expanding the Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st into a full week of events beginning with a resource fair for trans students to become more acquainted with the available resources they have on campus. We aim to celebrate trans people, raise awareness, and celebrate living members of the trans community.

Throughout the week we will also be offering raffle tickets at each event and through trivia on our social media (Instagram and Facebook) for folks to get the chance to win binders, makeup palettes, and more! ​Be sure to follow us for more information​.

MONDAY, APRIL 1

Trans Resource Fair
Time: 11​AM - 2PM
Location: Manzanita Village Plaza

We will be expanding the Trans Day of Visibility on March 31st into a full week of events beginning with a resource fair for trans students to become more acquainted with the available resources they have on campus. We aim to celebrate trans people, raise awareness, and celebrate living members of the trans community.

**We are looking for clubs, organizations, and departments to table at the Trans Resource Fair! If you are interested, please fill out our Google Form​. We will be providing tables and chairs!

Spectrum: Interpersonal Violence within LGBTQ Communities
Time: 5PM to 6PM
Location: MCC Lounge

The goal of this workshop is to understand interpersonal violence within LGBTQ communities and the unique experiences of LGBTQ survivors. This workshop will explore the ways in which power and control are leveraged against LGBTQ survivors and the nuances of abuse within LGBTQ relationships that are often specific to one's gender identity and/or sexuality. Led by Kristen Minami from CARE.

TUESDAY, APRIL 2

Trans Sex Ed
Time: 2PM to 4PM
Location: OSL Conference Room

This fun two-hour workshop will address sexual health, communicating with partners, and other aspects of sexuality relevant to people who are or love trans, nonbinary, or gender-nonconforming people. This space will center trans and nonbinary people but everyone is welcome.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3

Beat & Barber
Time: 12PM to 3PM
Location: Richie's Barbershop IV & Pardall Center

Come join us for a day of self-care and affirmation! We'll be having MUAs & free makeup at the Pardall Center while partnering with Richie's IV Barbershop to offer free lineups and haircuts!

THURSDAY, APRIL 4

Tree of Peace Picnic
Time: 4PM to 6PM
Location: Tree of Peace by Storke Tower

Join us for a community picnic in collaboration with AISA where we will be spending time talking about our identities, building community, and participating in a potato dance! Food will be provided.

Trans* IdentiTEAs
Time: 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Location: RCSGD Lounge

The IdentiTEAs are a social and intimate space for students who identify with particular communities to have a discussion about their experiences and to bring to light issues affecting their communities. These are closed spaces that are facilitated by members of said communities. Tea and baked goods will be provided.

FRIDAY, APRIL 5

Legal Name and Gender Change Drop-In Hour
Time: 1:30PM to 2:30PM or by appointment
Location: RCSGD

The RCSGD is offering assistance in filling out legal name and gender change forms. We will provide the paperwork and walk you through the process! For more information, contact Quinn Solis, Associate Director at quinn.solis@sa.ucsb.edu.

SBTAN's Trans Day of Visibility Celebration
Time: 5PM to 9PM
Location: Downtown SB

Join SBTAN for their Trans Day of Visibility Celebration! The RCSGD will be covering the ticket cost and transportation of students who are interested in attending the event! Spots are limited so sign up soon! Sign-up ​here.
