Las Cumbres Observatory presents Astronomy on Tap in downtown Santa Barbara. Join them monthly for free, short, public, astronomy-related presentations in a bar!

When: Wednesday, August 7th, 7:30pm (doors open at 6:30pm)

Where: Matrix Nightclub & Lounge, 409 State St.

Roughly every month ​the observatory invites two astronomers to speak about their research. At the upcoming August event, Bruce Banerdt from JPL will talk about Martian Seismology with InSight, and Sandy Seale from Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO) and UCSB will talk about Earthquakes and Tsunamis in Santa Barbara. This event will be hosted by Joey Chatelain of LCO and Sally Shaw of UCSB.
