UCSB's Department of Health & Wellness has just introduced a new program called Home Cooking Peers to teach students about cooking simple, healthy, affordable recipes, budgeting, meal planning, and kitchen safety. Students can book a 15 minute or a 25-minute one-on-one Zoom cooking coaching appointment with a Home Cooking Peer to help them improve their cooking skills and confidence. Read on to learn more!

The Department of Health & Wellness has just introduced a new program called Home Cooking Peers to teach students about cooking simple, healthy, affordable recipes, budgeting, meal planning, and kitchen safety. Students can book a 15 minute or a 25-minute one-on-one Zoom cooking coaching appointment with a Home Cooking Peer by going to this link.

Health and Wellness is prioritizing students who are most in need. If you are interested in this resource but are unable to secure an appointment, please contact Jacqueline Ovalle at ovalle@ucsb.edu.

Health and Wellness is offering this new program in addition to the UCSB Cooks Program (serving over 100 students in Fall) and the Food Nutrition & Basic Skills (FNBS) Drop-In Workshops this Fall Quarter. For more details about these programs, please visit here.
