Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education is seeking graduate students to share their experiences with graduate programming and services in virtual listening sessions.
From the organizers at CARE:
"Campus, Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE) is UC Santa Barbara's confidential advocacy and education office for interpersonal violence (sexual violence, relationship violence, and stalking). We offer free and confidential services for students, staff, faculty, alumni, community members, and friends/loved ones impacted interpersonal and gender-based violence and we provide violence prevention education for the entire UCSB campus."
"We understand that graduate students juggle several responsibilities on campus and have specific needs that often differ from our undergraduate populations. These confidential sessions will be facilitated by our two graduate student researchers and will be capped at 8 people. We hope this process will give our office insight on how to design preventative education for our graduate student body."
All selected participants will receive a $25 gift card to the University Book Store.
While the CARE Graduate Student Researchers are not service providers, our GSRs will help connect anyone that has been impacted and wishes to be connected with an advocate for advocacy services.
These sessions will take place on April 19 and 26 from 6-7pm.
