OVERVIEW
UCSB Career Services is thrilled to announce the recruitment for two Graduate Career Peer Advisor positions, beginning in Fall/Summer 2024 and continuing through Spring quarter 2025, with the potential for continued employment through the 2025-2026 year.
These positions, working with Assistant Director of Graduate Career Services, Maya Hargens, will focus on assisting graduate students with career development. This hybrid role offers valuable experience in higher-ed administration, program development, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills, primarily based at the Graduate Student Resource Center (Student Resource Building, Room 1215).

Payment: $23.00 per hour (paid by Career Services)
Days/Hours: 10-15 hours weekly (35% appointment) throughout the academic year (Fall-Spring Quarter), scheduled with the Assistant Director. Summer 2024 hours are available. No responsibilities during academic breaks and holidays.
Location: Hybrid schedule with in-office hours at the Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) in the SRB and occasional hours at Career Services and Career Fair locations.
Support from Graduate Division: The Graduate Division will pay partial fees and graduate student health insurance (Gaucho Health Insurance) equivalent to those provided for TAs if other student academic appointments or awards do not provide these fees.
