  UCSB Arts & Lectures is sponsoring "An Evening with David Sedaris" at the Arlington Theatre on Monday, May 1, at 8 p.m. Mature content is guaranteed.

David Sedaris is the New York Times best-selling author of such essay collections as "Naked" (1997), "Holidays on Ice" (1997), "Me Talk Pretty One Day" (2000), "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" (2004), and "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" (2008). His latest book is "Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls" (2013).

His essays often feature outrageous and funny stories drawn from his own life.

Time Out New York has claimed, "David Sedaris just may be the funniest man alive."
