Bri McWhorterAttention Grad Slam participants! Want to get a leg up on the competition? Join us on February 24 for a workshop on "Crafting Your Grad Slam Pitch"! Bri McWhorter from Activate to Captivate will lead participants in an interactive 2-hour workshop designed to help you boil down the basic ideas of your research, package them in an accessible way, and present them confidently and concisely. This workshop is perfect for those participating in Grad Slam but is also useful for anyone wanting to become better at pitching complex ideas in short formats (such as at cocktail parties, during job interviews, and for entrepreneurial presentations).

Bri McWhorter is a trained actor and the founder of Activate to Captivate, which is a communications company that specializes in using drama techniques to provide coaching in presentation skills, interview techniques, and interpersonal communication. Bri earned a BA in Theater and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley and went on to receive an MFA in Acting from UC Irvine.
