HIS STORYI grew up in a small town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. After receiving my BA in General Zoology and Music, I drove across the country to California in pursuit of adventure, miles of coastline, and opportunities to address environmental injustices. I lived in the Bay Area for several years, teaching climate and ocean science at schools, interning at the Sierra Club, and providing guitar and piano lessons as a private instructor. I am currently a Master's candidate at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, where I am specializing in Economics and Politics of the Environment with a focus in Strategic Communication. |

HâIS ACADEMIC INTERESTSMy academic interests are focused on the most effective ways to communicate environmental issues to the public and private sector. I am particularly interested in what inspires communities and organizations to take action on behalf of the environment, and how community activism and pressure could influence policy and decision-making on a local and national level. |

FUN FACTSWhen I am not in school or working, you will likely find me on the beach with my mandolin. I have been playing music my whole life, and love to learn new instruments. I currently perform with a Santa Barbara bluegrass trio, and co-lead the Bren School's infamous student band, Brengrass. |
