The Graduate Division at UC Santa Barbara is now recruiting a Marketing and Communications Director. Brief Summary of Job Duties
- Under the direction of the Dean and Assistant Dean, build a strategic marketing and communication plan that includes the development and implementation of a marketing and social media strategy for the Graduate Division as part of an overarching University campaign.
- Oversee and contribute to the communications activities and priorities related to media, official publications, web and social media communications, brand identity and outreach materials in consultation with the Division's leadership and the campus Office of Public Affairs and Communications.
- Engage campus community developing collaborations with Colleges/Divisions/Schools and identifying ways Graduate Division can support and complement publicity and promotional work already being done.
- Coordinate with colleagues in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications to create news releases and feature stories about all aspects of news generated by students, alumni, faculty, and staff involved in graduate education.
- Manage the Graduate Division website.
- Design various Graduate Division publications to ensure consistency.
- Serve as a liaison with Development and Alumni Affairs, creating a communications program to support alumni cultivation, including an alumnus mentality in current graduate students, and philanthropic efforts for the Graduate Division.
- Use strong independent judgment to ensure that all materials and coverage of the Graduate Division adhere to university communications policies and best practices.
Job Title: Marketing Spec 3; Job Code 7552 - Grade 22
Pay Rate/Range: $61,200 - $74,000/yr.
