The National NanoDays Festival needs excellent UCSB scientists and researchers to explain and promote nanoscience to our local community. It is a fun, engaging event, primarily serving families with children ages 5-12.

The NanoDays festival will take place on Saturday, April 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at the beautiful Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. The event is free for the public on Saturday, April 2!

Three Ways to Volunteer

  1. Run a NanoDays demonstration table.
  2. Provide a demonstration that fits your research area and run the table. This must be approved.
  3. Give a 3- to 7-minute talk on your research. This talk must be exciting, visual, and accessible to the general public. We are thinking this would be a great opportunity to use past Grad Slam talks! We will have a separate room for our speaker series.

About 30 volunteers are sought for each day. All activities and materials are provided. All you need to do is come and share the science with the public! So easy and rewarding.

If you would like to volunteer, RSVP by March 22 via this Google form.
