Job Description
- Oversee the development and implementation of grassroots legislative campaigns on campus.
- Serve as the voting proxy for the VP of External Affairs at University of California Student Association (UCSA) board meetings.
- Speak in UCSA board space.
- Attend closed UCSA sessions, including the Student Regent Interviews.
Responsibilities
- Attend UCSA Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, the BOD retreat, the UC Student Congress, the UC Student of Color Conference, and the UC Student Lobby Conference.
- Collaborate with UCSA staff in recruiting and coordinating student staff and interns for UCSA lobbying activities.
- Organize local lobbying activities.
- Attend as many BOD meetings and participate in the BOD as much as possible.
- Maintain regular communication with the UCSA Legislative Director and other LL's.
- Maintain regular communication with District offices near the campus.
