You are cordially invited to apply to the Fall 2019 "Pro-seminar: Advanced Grants and Fellowships" facilitated by Ben V. Olguín and two experienced Teaching Assistants​.

The workshop addresses multiple necessary skillsets for success in graduate school as well as the job market, including preparation for fellowships (Ford Foundation Fellowships, ACLS Fellowships, AAUW Fellowships, etc.), ​and preparation of job market materials.

Workshop participants can expect to develop and refine documents including but not limited to personal statements, research plans, prospectuses, and teaching statements as dictated by each participants' needs and current stage in their program, from undergraduate studies to doctoral candidacy. Ultimately, the focus of the workshop is on the development of competitive applications that provide and improve student success rates as professors.

This workshop is open to five undergraduate and twenty graduate students. All admitted students must enroll in one of the following courses that meet concurrently on Mondays from 4​-6:20pm in South Hall 2635: ENGL 175GW, ENG 265GW, or INT 201GW.
