For 2020-2021, they are assembling a team of TAPAs who will:

  • Host campus-wide "Pillars of Teaching Assistantship workshops" using and adapting existing curriculum. TAPAs may choose to design and offer additional specialty workshops on principles, strategies, and techniques of teaching.

  • Develop instructional materials in a variety of print and digital formats to support online and blended teaching and learning.

Desired skills and qualifications include coursework and/or demonstrated experience with:

  • Minimum 3 quarters of successful TA/teaching experience, preferably one or more teaching remote/online.

  • Using instructional technologies to support student learning.

  • Design of instructional materials (e.g. infographics, online modules, animations) using graphic design and multimedia principles.

  • Collaborating productively with a variety of peers and supervisors.
