Since 2009, more than 10,000 U.S. citizen college students have worked on projects for more than 70 federal agencies during their academic year. This year's participating agencies include the Department of State, NASA, Department of Education, Environmental Protection Agency, and many more. Last date to apply is July 31st.
What is VSFS?
The Virtual Student Federal Service (VSFS) is the world's longest-running remote internship program! Since 2009, more than 10,000 U.S. citizen college students have worked on projects for more than 70 federal agencies during their academic year. Students develop apps, design graphics, manage social media, conduct research, and more. The time commitment is about 10 hours per week from September through May. Internships are unpaid. Participating agencies include: Department of State, NASA, National Park Service, Department of Education - and many more!
Who can be a VSFS Intern?
U.S. citizens who are high school graduates and who are enrolled in a higher education program are eligible to apply in July for VSFS for the upcoming school year. Participants can be part-time or full-time students in undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate certificate or degree programs.
Where do VSFS Interns work?
Anywhere! VSFS is 100% virtual.
