As CCST Science Fellows, scientists and engineers spend one year in Sacramento serving the California State Legislature. This fellowship is an incredible opportunity to transform a researcher's professional path -- more than 50% of CCST Science Fellows have been hired by the California State Legislature or state agencies since completing their fellowship. Each year, the CCST Science & Technology Policy Fellows program recruits a cohort of fifteen PhD scientists and engineers for a year of public service and leadership training within the California State Legislature and Executive Branch. The application for the upcoming 2023 Fellowship class opens Dec. 1, 2021.

Learn about the CCST S&T Policy Fellowship and application process from current and former Fellows with a three-part webinar series. Over the course of this series, you'll learn about the Fellowship program, what Fellows do on a day-to-day basis, the impact that the program will have on your career, and how to navigate the application and interview process through conversations with Fellows, alumni, and staff. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from Fellows' personal experiences.

In the first webinar, you will learn about the ins and outs of the CCST Fellowship program, the impact that the program has had on Fellows' careers, and the role that you can play as a Fellow in shaping California policy. Come prepared with questions!
