Next Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 3-4pm, UCSB's Instructional Development will be hosting "Strategies for Equity-Minded Mentorship," a workshop where you can learn about best practices and resources for equity-minded mentorship, and reflect on what kinds of academic mentorship you can provide, in terms of supporting academic excellence or helping students navigate the academic ecosystem.
Teaching Assistants can have a lasting impact as mentors on their students, and can influence students' academic performance, and sense of confidence and possibility. Next Wednesday, Feb. 22 from 3-4pm, UCSB's Instructional Development, in partnership with the Non-Traditional Student Center, will be hosting "Strategies for Equity-Minded Mentorship," a workshop where you can learn about best practices and resources for equity-minded mentorship, and reflect on what kinds of academic mentorship you can provide, in terms of supporting academic excellence or helping students navigate the academic ecosystem.
