If you will be a teaching assistant (TA) or reader for the first time during the 2023-24 school year, you are required to complete the campus-wide TA Orientation, which will be held between September 18-26 this year (on-campus workshops held on September 26). If you will be a teaching assistant (TA) or reader for the first time during the 2023-24 school year, you are required to complete the campus-wide TA Orientation. This training consists of a general session webinar, information session with the TA Union, asynchronous modules, and interactive on-campus workshops to help prepare you for your new role.
All new TAs and Readers are required to attend TA Orientation. Please register today.
TA Orientation has 3 required components for all new TAs & Readers, please save these dates:
- Monday, Sept. 25th, 6-7:30pm (on Zoom)
General Session with TA Panel Q&A (will be recorded) and the UAW (TA Union) Information Session - Tuesday, September 26th, 10am-12pm (on UCSB campus, Location TBA)
Must attend two TA workshops - Septemer 18-26
Four asynchronous modules on TA rights and responsibilities (90 min total)
