The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is currently accepting applications for the CPRIT TRIUMPH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Translational Cancer Research. This three-year fellowship aims to further develop talented PhD or MD/PhDs into successful clinical/translational research scientists. Join the all-student Coastal Fund Board of Directors, in charge of allocating approximately $400,000 in funds each year to projects that preserve, protect, and restore the watershed and shoreline associated with UCSB. Board members receive a quarterly stipend and applications are due Friday, September 18th, 2020. Read on to learn more.

Beyond the Professoriate is launching their first ever, completely virtual, Academic Career Success Conference for grad students, postdocs, and recent PhDs seeking guidance in their early scholarly careers. This conference is for grad students, postdocs, and PhDs in both STEM and SHEF fields. There are a lot of wonderful resources out there that provide guidance on how to do well on the GRFP application, but ultimately your success will be determined by an evaluator. Wouldn’t it be helpful if you could talk to one of these mysterious figures to learn how the application is reviewed and what evaluators seek in a strong application? UCSB's campus-wide TA Orientation helps you prepare for becoming an effective TA or Reader. It is required for all new graduate student Teaching Assistants (TAs), and Readers, even if your first appointment is not until Winter or Spring Quarter.
