You will learn to interpret statistics from your ESCI (UCSB's student evaluations of teaching) reports, find trends in the data, and strategize about how to enhance your teaching based on students' feedback. They will also discuss approaches for summarizing your ESCI data for the academic job market.

Join UC Santa Barbara's Graduate Division on November 6th for the Multidisciplinary Research on COVID-19 and its Impacts (MRCI) Collaborative Symposium! This symposium recognizes the work of this summer’s MRCI mini-grant recipients. The students will share their experiences conducting research on a broad array of topics related to COVID-19 and its implications.

The “Pillars of Teaching Assistantship” workshop series and certificate is designed to provide TAs with a comprehensive, research-based foundation for teaching in the role of TA. TAs will earn a Pillars certificate after completing all six workshops and their brief pre- and post- workshop activities. On October 22, join Instructional Development for a workshop on preparing your CCUT portfolio! The session will provide tips on writing the CCUT teaching portfolio, including ways of presenting teaching materials, documenting student ratings, meeting the technology requirement, tone of the portfolio narration, and more. Participants need to have completed at least two of the CCUT requirements.
