The mission of the Isla Vista Coalition for Healthy Communities 805 (IVCHC805) is to enhance the quality of life in Isla Vista and surrounding communities through education, collaboration, and programs that reduce high-risk substance use factors and increase resilience in children, young adults, and families. The STS Futures Initiative is pleased to announce a year-long series of workshops and events dedicated to professionalization, engagement, and community building for graduate students specializing in the Humanities and/or Science, Technology and Society (STS). The Office of Summer Sessions is looking to hire Teaching Associates from STEM areas to develop courses to be delivered from June 28 – July 23, 2021. These courses will be part of a collection of dynamic research tracks offered in a competitive pre-college outreach program called Summer Research Academies. There are two Teaching Associate positions available for Summer 2021. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but must be submitted by December 1. Read on to learn more!
