ABOUT THE EVENT

The Living with Fire Summit, hosted by the Community Environmental Council, UCSB's California NanoSystems Institute, and the Santa Barbara County Wildfire Resilience Collaborative, is a pivotal event focused on wildfire preparedness, response, and recovery. Taking place at the CEC's Environmental Hub in Santa Barbara on October 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM, the summit will feature discussions on the current landscape of wildfire resilience efforts in the region. Attendees will hear from experts in fire management, policy, and innovation, with panel sessions centered on the "Before," "During," and "After Fire" phases. The goal is to inspire new collaborations, close gaps in policy and technology, and accelerate the implementation of cutting-edge solutions to better protect communities from the growing threat of wildfires.
