As an international teaching assistant (ITA), you may sometimes find yourself outside your comfort zone. Perhaps English is not your first language and you are anxious to deliver presentations to native speakers. Maybe you are new to a teaching role and are less familiar with the course content. Or perhaps you are still adapting to the characteristics of a U.S. classroom and learning how to handle certain teaching interactions. No matter which type of situation you are facing as an ITA, one of the most important steps you can take is establishing a confident demeanor in the classroom.

In this workshop, Dr. Mindy Colin (Instructional Development) and Dr. Yueh-Ching Hsu (CAPS) will share practical tips on becoming familiar with American university teaching, how to approach various teaching duties with more confidence, and maximizing your teaching impact with students. Join us for this informative workshop to gain valuable insights into best practices for succeeding as an ITA.

NOTE: Please RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot for the workshop.
