Aquatic Cathartic is a graduate student-led interdisciplinary art and science event which examines oceanography through the lens of art. Beyond that, it is a celebration of the artistic endeavors from December's project ACIDD cruise, an oceanographic expedition boasting the first full seagoing art team (Gad Girling, Dustin Hayes, and Celia Jacobs). The event will showcase the music, art, and film created during the cruise, manifested as a documentary and magazine, as well as provide a spotlight for local artists who share their passion for the marine world. See event flyer below for more details.
